Nikki Walked In Wearing a Geometric Print and Owned the Room

Nikki's 2011 Fashionistas iteration — a bold geometric multicolour mini dress in pink, teal, purple and gold, yellow-framed sunglasses pushed back on her head, long dark hair and a mini camera bag — reads like a direct transmission from the early 2010s fashion blogosphere at its most vivid, presented in a bright yellow box that announced her from three shelves away.

The 12-joint articulated body gave Nikki the ability to hold a pose as fully as the look demanded — the camera bag in particular worked best when the doll could actually be positioned as if she had just arrived somewhere and was considering what to photograph next, which is exactly the kind of small interactive possibility that good articulation opens up.
