2. Product Descriptions & Accuracy

We make every effort to provide accurate descriptions, detailed condition notes, and clear images for every listing.

Please be aware of the following:

  • Colours may vary slightly due to lighting or screen settings
  • Vintage items may show signs of wear consistent with their age
  • Accessories or components may sometimes be missing — this will be noted in the listing

Photographs

All vintage, retired, and pre-loved items are personally photographed — the images show the exact item you will receive.

For a small number of modern, sealed releases (typically items from the last few years that remain available at retail), we may use manufacturer or representative stock photography. Where this applies, it will be clearly noted in the listing description. In all cases, our condition grade reflects the actual item in our possession and is guaranteed accurate.

All photographs form part of the item description. Customers are encouraged to review all images and condition notes carefully before purchasing.

3. Completeness of Vintage Items

Melody Likes makes reasonable efforts to research the authenticity and completeness of vintage items using available collector references.

Due to the age and complexity of many vintage items, we cannot guarantee that all original accessories or components are present unless this is specifically stated in the listing. Items should therefore be considered as pictured and described.

4. Pricing & Currency

All prices on the Melody Likes website are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.

Our online store is set up for New Zealand domestic shipping only. International customers are welcome to purchase from us but must contact us directly prior to ordering so we can provide a personalised shipping quote. Please reach out at customercare@melodylikes.com before placing your order.

5. Payments

We accept the following secure payment methods:

  • Shopify Payments
  • Credit and debit cards
  • Afterpay (where available)

Payment must be completed at checkout to confirm your order.

6. Order Confirmation & Availability

After placing an order you will receive an automated confirmation email.

In rare situations where an item becomes unavailable, is found to be damaged during final checks, or is affected by a listing error, Melody Likes reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

7. Order Finality & Cancellations

Due to the collectible and often one-of-a-kind nature of our products, all orders are considered final once placed. When an item is purchased it is immediately removed from inventory and reserved for that customer.

8. Shipping & Delivery

Melody Likes ships within New Zealand. Shipping costs and delivery estimates are calculated at checkout.

We do not currently offer an automated international shipping option through our store. International customers are welcome to enquire about purchasing and we will gladly provide a personalised shipping quote. Please contact us at customercare@melodylikes.com before placing your order.

Please note:

  • Delivery times may vary depending on location and courier service
  • Melody Likes is not responsible for courier delays outside our control
  • International customers are responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, or import charges required by their country

9. Returns & Refunds

Because many items sold by Melody Likes are vintage and one-of-a-kind, we are unable to accept change-of-mind returns.

If an item arrives damaged or you believe it has been significantly misrepresented, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery at customercare@melodylikes.com with supporting photographs so we can investigate and work toward a resolution.

10. Website Use

By using the Melody Likes website you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, or that you are using the site with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. By using this website you also agree not to:

  • Engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity
  • Attempt to interfere with website security or functionality
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute website content without prior written permission

If you have a concern or dispute regarding an order or any aspect of your experience with Melody Likes, we ask that you contact us directly in the first instance at customercare@melodylikes.com so we have the opportunity to resolve the matter promptly and fairly.

We are committed to handling all disputes in good faith and will work with you to reach a reasonable resolution before any escalation to a payment provider, consumer authority, or other third party is necessary.

13. Limitation of Liability
