Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping at Melody Likes. We take pride in packing every vintage and collectible item with care so it arrives safely to its new home. This Shipping Policy applies to all New Zealand and international orders.


1. Order Processing Times

Orders are generally processed within 2–3 business days after payment is received. Please allow a little additional time during sale events, holiday periods, and large restock weeks.

If there is any unexpected delay with your order, we will contact you via email.

Where multiple orders are placed close together, we may combine them into a single shipment at our discretion. Shipping fees are non-refundable regardless of how orders are fulfilled.


2. New Zealand Shipping

Melody Likes ships nationwide using NZ Post courier services. All orders include tracked shipping, and rural delivery is available (an additional rural delivery fee applies). Shipping options and prices are displayed at checkout.

Domestic shipments include cover for loss or damage up to $2,000 NZD. If you have any concerns about the value of your order and its coverage, please contact us before purchasing.

Delivery is typically 1–5 business days depending on your location.


3. International Shipping

We do not currently offer automated international shipping through our store. However, we warmly welcome international customers and are happy to provide a personalised shipping quote.

If you are located outside New Zealand and would like to purchase an item, please contact us before placing your order at customercare@melodylikes.com and we will arrange a quote for you.

Please also be aware of the following for international orders:

  • International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import fees, and taxes applicable in their country
  • Customs processing times vary by country and may add to delivery timeframes
  • Tracking updates may be limited depending on your country's postal or courier network
  • Delivery times vary by destination but typically range from 7–25 business days once dispatched

4. Packaging & Handling

We know how precious vintage toys and collectibles are, and every order is packed with that in mind. We use appropriate wrapping, padding, and protective materials to minimise the risk of damage in transit. Fragile items and boxed collectibles receive extra attention, and multiple items may be packed together unless you let us know otherwise.


5. Tracking Information

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking number. If your tracking does not update immediately, please do not be alarmed — this is normal, particularly for international parcels moving through customs or multiple carriers.


6. Incorrect Address

Please double-check your shipping address carefully before completing checkout. If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, a refused delivery, or a failure to collect from a local pickup point, the customer will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping.


7. Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Parcels

Once a parcel has been lodged with the courier, delivery is outside our control. That said, we will always do our best to help investigate and resolve any issues.

  • Courier delays are not eligible for refunds
  • Lost parcels will be investigated with the courier — claims may take several days or weeks depending on the carrier
  • Items confirmed as delivered but reported stolen are not the responsibility of Melody Likes

8. Shipping Restrictions

Certain countries may have restrictions on specific toys, materials, or electronic components. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that items can be legally imported into their country before placing an order.


9. Returns Due to Fault or Error

If a return is approved and Melody Likes is deemed at fault — for example, an incorrect item was sent or a listing was materially misrepresented — we will cover the cost of return shipping. All other returns are handled in accordance with our Refund & Returns Policy.
