The 2007 Holiday Barbie is Mattel's most overtly Santa-coded entry in the long-running annual collector series — a strapless crimson velvet ballgown with a full black lace underskirt, white faux fur trim at the hem and bodice, and a jet-black belt with a rhinestone buckle that commits fully to the Miss Claus concept. Long white gloves, a snowflake pendant necklace and the signature holiday series packaging complete a doll that makes no apologies for what it is and delivers it with conviction.

The Holiday Barbie series has run since 1988 and is one of the most consistently collected annual releases in the Barbie line — each year's edition is produced for a limited window, then retired, which gives the complete run a genuine completionist appeal. The 2007 edition is particularly sought after for the dramatic black-and-red colour combination, which departs from the more traditionally festive palettes of earlier years and gives her a slightly more sophisticated edge than the typical holiday release.
