The Zodiac Collection Gave Every Sign a Gown, a Faux Fur Stole, and a Charm Bracelet

Taurus Barbie was released in 2004 as part of Mattel's twelve-doll Zodiac Collection under the Barbie Collector Pink Label. Each doll in the series wears a classic evening gown decorated with the symbol of her sign in faux rhinestones, with a matching faux fur stole and a bracelet carrying a zodiac charm. The Taurus doll wears a periwinkle blue gown with the bull symbol, and carries hoop earrings consistent with the slightly more earthed aesthetic attributed to the Taurean personality across the collection.

The Zodiac Collection is one of the more systematically conceived Barbie collector series of the 2000s — twelve dolls, one per sign, with a consistent design grammar applied to each. Collecting the full set requires tracking down twelve individual releases, and the signs from the less popular birth-month windows are predictably harder to find. Taurus, covering mid-April through mid-May, sits in moderate supply.
