Kelly Happy Spring is a 2003 release — a 4.5-inch format that moved the Kelly bunny suit concept into a slightly larger scale than the Easter Eggie and Easterrific lines, which allowed for considerably more hair and, most importantly, the coiled spring display base that the series was named for. Press down and she bounces. That is the feature. That is the whole idea.

The Happy Spring series arrived in 2003 with a design logic that the earlier Kelly Easter lines hadn't attempted — rather than just a costume on a card, a display piece with a built-in interactive element. Kelly in her pink polka-dot bunny suit with the glitter egg applique and the large blonde ringlets is the main character version; Marisa in lavender is in the same assortment.
