Product Description

Third in the Series and the Most Serene of Them All

The Swan Barbie is the third release in the Birds of Beauty Collector Edition series — dark upswept hair adorned with a delicate feather headpiece, an ivory sculptural ballgown with layers of satin and tulle and an outstretched pose that captures the look of something that has just landed softly, the whole figure set against a deep teal lake-at-dusk backdrop.

The Birds of Beauty series ran to three entries across the late nineties and early 2000s — the Flamingo, the Peacock and finally the Swan — and the progression from the vivid colours of the first two to the restraint of the ivory and teal closing entry gave the series an arc that rewarded collecting the full set.
