The Great Eras Chinese Empress Barbie Wore Qing Dynasty Imperial Robes and Did Not Compromise on a Single Detail

The Chinese Empress is the Great Eras Collection entry built around Qing dynasty court dress — layered brocade robes in deep jewel tones, an elaborate headdress with hanging ornaments, and the considered accessory work that separated the Great Eras line from the standard Barbie releases. She is in original sealed packaging.

The Great Eras collection was the dedicated historical costume series, which meant each release had to justify itself through research as much as visual appeal — the Chinese Empress is one of the entries where both came together, and the headdress is where you see it most clearly.
