Little Bo Peep Has Lost Her Sheep — and Hallmark Made Her the Second Entry in the Children's Collector Series

The Barbie as Little Bo Peep Hallmark Keepsake Ornament is the second entry in the Children's Collector Series — the Spring ornament series that recreated the Children's Collector Series Barbie dolls in miniature handcrafted resin form. The ornament depicts Barbie in the full Little Bo Peep ensemble: a pink lace-trimmed gown with embroidered rosebud and vine detail on the skirt, a matching pink bonnet trimmed in lace, a lace shawl collar, and a white shepherd's staff with a pink bow at the crook. Sculpted by Anita Marra Rogers, dated 1996.

The Barbie Children's Collector Series Hallmark ornament line ran from 1997 as the Rapunzel debut but the box imagery and series numbering confirms this Little Bo Peep is the second entry, based on the Mattel 1995 Children's Collector Series Barbie as Little Bo Peep doll. Hallmark released these as Spring ornaments rather than Christmas ornaments — part of their seasonal Easter and spring collection rather than the main Christmas range.
