Barbie's Mod Cousin Came Back and She Looked Every Bit as Good as 1966

Francie was introduced in 1966 as Barbie's hip, fashion-forward younger cousin — the auburn flip, the wide side-glancing eyes, the particular energy of someone who had just discovered Mary Quant and was not going back — and this 30th Anniversary reproduction captured all of it faithfully: the iconic red and yellow striped minidress, gold chain belt, yellow faux-fur stole and hat, yellow lace tights and red knee-high boots.

The collector-edition hinged box with striped liner presented the whole package as the tribute it was — a meticulous return to one of the most design-forward dolls of the Barbie line's first decade, the one who belonged to the London of Carnaby Street more than the Malibu of the beach house.

Includes: Francie doll, red striped minidress with gold chain belt, yellow faux-fur stole, yellow faux-fur hat, yellow lace tights and red knee-high boots.

Please note: Her sunglasses are loose in the box. Also this doll was sourced from a collection that was stored with mothballs to prevent insect damage. There is a faint odour, however the doll is pristine.
