Barbie Gets Married, Stacie Gets a Yellow Dress, and Todd Gets a White Tux He Will Never Wear Again

The 1994 Wedding Party Barbie Special Edition giftset brings together three dolls for a complete wedding tableau — Barbie in a white lace bridal gown with veil and pearl necklace, Stacie as the flower girl in a yellow dress with pink rose corsage, and Todd as the ring bearer in a white tuxedo with yellow bow tie. The three-doll format gave children an entire wedding cast in a single box, which was a smarter play concept than the standard single-doll bridal release.

Todd is one of Barbie's younger siblings and one of the less commonly found characters in the Barbie line — his appearances are sporadic enough that the 1994 Wedding Party set is among the more reliable ways to find him in the collector market. The set came out during the early-nineties period when Mattel was expanding its family cast releases, and the combination of Barbie's full lace gown alongside the smaller-scale sibling dolls makes this one of the more visually complete giftsets from that era.
