Product Description
Dip the Wings in Bubble Solution, Wave the Wand, and Barbie Fills the Air With Wishes
Bubble Angel Barbie arrived in 1994 with a mechanism that is almost elegantly simple — the large translucent blue butterfly wings are detachable and designed to be dipped into the included bubble solution tray, so that when you hold Barbie and sweep the wings through the air, real soap bubbles trail behind her. An angel wand is also included so the child can create the same effect themselves. She wears an iridescent blue-and-white angel gown with shimmer tights, and the wings have a lace-hole pattern that creates bubble streams rather than single bubbles.
The 1994 Bubble Angel was part of a broader Mattel trend in the early-to-mid nineties of adding genuine physical interactive effects to fantasy-concept Barbies — the same era that produced the Butterfly Princess magnetic wand and the Bubble Mermaid. The wings-and-bubbles combination is the most tactile of these mechanisms and the one most likely to still function in sealed examples, since bubble solution is replenishable. Mattel's box copy for this release describes Barbie as dreaming she was an angel whose wings left trails of wishes in the air, which is exactly the right register for a fairy-tale concept doll.

Our photos are part of the product description, so please take the time to review them carefully before purchasing.
All items are sold in the condition described and shown. These are real pieces with real history, and we think that's part of what makes them special.
📦 Carded & Boxed Items
Vintage packaging can show its age — you may see card yellowing, corner wear, bubble discolouration or light crushing, and sticker residue. The item inside is typically untouched. What you see is what you get.
🤖 Loose Figures & Playsets
Loose vintage figures and playsets may show paint wear, light scuffing, or minor marks from years of storage or play. Accessories are noted in the listing — if it isn't mentioned, it's not included.

Vintage plush can show pile flattening, light colour fade, or gentle wear at seams and features. We note any significant issues in the listing, and our photos show the piece as it truly is.
📚 Books & Paper Goods
Paper ages beautifully — but it does age. Vintage books may show spine wear, light browning, or minor cover scuffs. Any notable marks or damage are called out in the listing description.
✨ Modern Collectibles
Modern collectibles are described with the same care and accuracy as our vintage items. As a recent release, stock or manufacturer imagery may be used in place of personal photography — this will always be noted in the listing.
