Earring Magic Barbie landed in 1992 with one of the most interactive concepts the line had produced — six snap-on charms that worked on both the doll's hoop earrings and the matching hoop earrings included for the child, so Barbie and her owner could wear the exact same look at the exact same time.

The hot pink asymmetric dress, the silver star chain belt and the long crimped blonde hair became such an iconic look that decades later, Margot Robbie wore this exact Barbie's outfit during the 2023 film promotional tour — which is not something that could be said about many 1992 toy releases.
