All-Star Is Playing Soccer Now — the Fourth Sport Schleich Gave Him in 1984

This is the soccer variant of All-Star, the fourth of his sporting activity figures from Schleich's 1984 Snorks PVC range. He is mid-kick, which is the correct pose for a figure whose entire purpose is to convey forward momentum.

Across baseball, football, kite flying, and soccer, Schleich built out a remarkably active schedule for All-Star in a single year. The soccer figure is the most internationally legible of the four — it is the sport that needs the least explanation regardless of where it ends up — and the pose is clean and direct.
