This entry draws directly on Aztec iconography: the elaborate feathered and gilded headdress references pre-Columbian royal dress, while the woven poncho with red fringe and the geometric-patterned skirt pull from traditional Mexican textile art.

The Princess Collection ran from 2002 to 2008 and distinguished itself from the standard Dolls of the World line by leaning into historical court dress rather than contemporary national costume, which gave the series a collector appeal that the earlier country editions, for all their charm, never quite matched.

Manufacturer: Mattel
Country of manufacture: China
Model #: B6360
Melody Likes box condition grade: Excellent - View our box condition guide
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0709/4504/6718/files/2004-barbie-dolls-of-the-world-princess-collection-princess-of-ancient-mexico-doll-1.jpg?v=1790563672
https://melodylikes.com/products/2004-barbie-dolls-of-the-world-princess-collection-princess-of-ancient-mexico-doll
